Ballina is challenging it's traffic congestion. Dual laning roads, both River Street and Tamarind Drive. This will cumulate into dual bridges over the canal from both the northern and southern sides. The grant has been approved and work has already began on the roadways. As the cost of Barlows road has risen, the opportunity to build it first has been cancelled. Maybe it would serve a purpose by being built early to accomodate traffic congestion while the dual bridges are being built.
